To measure the enclosure of a battery-operated appliance incorporating an integral battery that uses metal-ion chemistry shall withstand the pressure generated when a cell vents during failure.Conform to IEC60335-1:2020 annex B.20.1 and IEC62841 Annex K19.202.
Test requirement:a volume of air of the amount specified in Table B.3 of IEC60335-1 shall be injected through a (2,85±0,05 or 2,87±0,05)mm diameter orifice into the enclosure at an initial overpressure of 2070kPa±10%.Test fittings used for the test shall not increase the enclosure volume by more than 3 ml.The overpressure within the enclosure shall drop below 70kPa within 30 s without any unintended rupturing damage to the enclosure.
